Mahan back in top 20 in world rankings

<p>Hunter Mahan rallied for his first win since the 2012 season on Sunday, and that helped him return to the top 20 in the world rankings.</p>

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Hunter Mahan rallied for his first win since the 2012 season on Sunday, and that helped him return to the top 20 in the world rankings.

Mahan rallied with a 6-under 65 to win by two strokes. The victory, his sixth on the PGA Tour, moved Mahan from 42nd to 19th in the world.

The top-six players in the world rankings were unchanged from last week with Rory McIlroy again being followed by Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia Justin Rose and Jim Furyk.

Jason Day, who shared second behind Mahan, moved up two notches to seventh. Day's move bumped Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson down one spot apiece to eighth and ninth.

Phil Mickelson was 10th again this week and was followed by Rickie Fowler, who improved a pair from 13th last week. Fowler's move pushed Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth down to 12th and 13th.

Martin Kaymer, Zach Johnson, Graeme McDowell, Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama were 14th to 18th again this week. Mahan jumped 23 spots to 19th and pushed Jimmy Walker and Charl Schwartzel back to 20th and 21st.
