It's high school musical season and Johnson City High School is once again promising a top-flight performance.

Its production of Pippin runs this weekend. The musical follows the adventures of Pippin through all of the prince's ups and downs in life.
Chloe Solan plays Pippin's grandma Bertha and Denny Burhan portrays the character known as the Leading Player.

Chloe Solan says, "All the music is different from song to song. So, there's some happy songs, there's some sad songs. There are songs that are feel-good songs and some songs that explain the trouble that you have in life. It's really all over the place. So somebody in the audience will at least enjoy one of each song."
Denny Burhan says, "Everyone can see themselves in it at some point in the show. Whether it's the Grandma or Pippin who's discovering himself through the ups and downs of the show."

There are still a few tickets left for this weekend's performances. They're at 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday and at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
