A group of scholars stopped by Tech Works in Binghamton recently to learn about our region's rich history of innovation.

About 25 Fulbright Scholars from universities across Germany are in New York State for about a month. The students are studying diversity in America and many are focused on engineering and life sciences.

While at Tech Works, they flew in one of the first flight instructor machines from Link, and got a chance to make paper clips and send Morse code.

"We brought them here because we feel our community has a lot to offer and that they can learn a lot about these topics and the sciences just from looking at what has happened right here in Binghamton over the years. They had a lot of fun with the flight simulator, said Kerry Cook, the director of the Summer Fulbright Institute at Binghamton University.

The students also got to hear Evah Doheny, 8, from Binghamton perform. Evah is in the process of producing her first album.
