With the start of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open just around the corner, many aspects of the event are getting the finishing touches.

Golf course superintendent Rocco Greco and his crew are getting En-joie Golf Club ready for play, and tournament organizers are putting the last few details into place.

Players will be arriving in just a few days but the Golf Channel caught up with players last week in Minneapolis to get their thoughts on returning to the Binghamton area.

"Well I'm looking forward to going back. The community has really embraced this event for years and years. It's exciting for us because they get so excited to have us there, so to be the defending champion and going back is a pretty special deal," said defending champion Bart Bryant.

"It never gets old for me because I get to visit with the people who have cheered for me year after year, after year. But on top of that the energy and enthusiasm that Dick's Sporting Goods has brought the event is stunning," said Horeseheads resident Joey Sindelar.
