An Endicott limousine company has agreed to pay a $20,000 fine for skimming the tips meant for its drivers.
An Endicott limousine company has agreed to pay a $20,000 fine for skimming the tips meant for its drivers.

The New York State Attorney General's Office says Coachmaster Transportation will also pay $20,000 in restitution to its employees.

The Attorney General says Coachmaster routinely asked customers if they'd like to add the driver's gratuity to their bill when reserving a ride.

The company then would withhold a portion of the tip for administrative purposes.

As part of the settlement, Coachmaster agreed to stop the practice which violates New York Labor Law.
