A Nimmonsburg resident has opened a new business in her neighborhood selling all-natural juices and smoothies.

Cinjuice is the creation of Cindi Shirer. She recently held a ribbon cutting for the juice and smoothie bar along Upper Front St.

Cinjuice sells a wide variety of vegetable and fruit juice combinations and yogurt, fruit and ice smoothies.

Shirer started juicing to lose weight and become healthier. She was surprised at how tasty some of the mixtures can be.

"We have one called 'King Kale' that has kale, celery, spinach and you put an apple in there and it sweetens it all up. It doesn't taste bitter like the bitter taste that spinach and kale," said Shirer.

Shirer plans to use locally-grown and organic produce whenever possible.

Cinjuice is located at 1128 Upper Front St. in the former Joey's Italian Ice location.

Right now, it is just walk up, but Shirer plans to install picnic tables for outdoor seating.

Cinjuice is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
