Binghamton men's basketball released its 15 game non-conference schedule on Friday and several intriguing matchups await the Bearcats.

B.U. will head to South Bend, Indiana for its season opener against Notre Dame as part of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.

The Bearcats will then travel to Providence on Nov. 17 to face a Friars team that won the Big East championship last year.

Binghamton will host Hartwick in its home opener on Nov. 19.

The Bearcats will also face off against regional rival Cornell on Nov. 29 and renew its rivalry with former America East foe Boston University on Dec. 3.

Head coach Tommy Dempsey said he is excited about the chance to compete at a high level.

"We try to play really good teams in our non-conference schedule. We try to play good institutions, we try to have some local rivalries and we try to giver our kids a chance to play on a big stage. I think we've accomplished all of that with our non-league schedule," said Dempsey.
