Stormteam Forecast

It will be a breezy and chilly day across the Southern Tier. There should be clouds and some sun but temperatures remain in the 20s throughout the day.

Here are the weather headlines:

· A chilly late November day Friday; temperatures only in the 20s.
· We expect any lake effect snows to be well north of us closer to Syracuse.
· A bit of a warm up over the weekend; we rise into the 40s for Sunday.
· Not a lot of precipitation around Saturday and Sunday.

A chilly air mass will spread over the Southern Tier and Northeast Pennsylvania Friday. Any snow showers off Lake Ontario nearby at sunrise will shift north early in the day and we should stay generally dry the rest of the day. There could be a bit of sun this afternoon but don’t plan on a lot of rise in temperature. We should hold in the 20s.

The trend for the weekend is for warmer weather. We will manage to get back in the 30s Saturday with nothing more than a few flurries (with no accumulation) It will turn out even milder on Sunday as we warm into the 40s. That warmth will be accompanied by some rain showers.

A cold front will come through the Southern Tier early Monday and that will signal the change to another chilly air mass. The center of this air mass, high pressure, will drift into eastern Canada and New England Tuesday which should lead to a decent amount of sunshine for us.
