Cornell Co-op to Hold Gift Making Fair for Kids

From Cornell Co-op:

Sign your child up to explore the many wonderful gifts that nature provides us with. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County is hosting a gift making fair for children ages 6-12 on Saturday, Dec. 7th.

These are not the typical pinecone birdfeeder type of crafts. They will be unique and high quality gifts like jewelry and magnets made from recycled materials, natural dye batik, leaf print ornaments and more. Drop your child off for the day at 10 am and pick them up at 2pm. While you get your shopping done your child will create beautiful, handmade gifts for friends and family members!

Each child should come prepared with a list of 5 people they hope to make gifts for. Children will even have the opportunity to prepare a healthy lunch with the help of our nutrition staff. All materials and food will be provided. Let us know if your child has dietary restrictions!

The gift fair will be held at 56 Main St. Owego in the basement conference room. Cost of the day is $25 (lunch included) $20 each for siblings. Call Cornell Cooperative Extension, Tioga County at 687-4020 or e-mail to register.

CCE Tioga provides equal program and employment opportunities. Accommodations for persons with special needs can be requested.
