Citizen Action Looking for Obamacare Volunteers

Citizen Action hosted a workshop to train volunteers on how they can help educate people about Obamacare.
Citizen Action hosted a workshop to train volunteers on how they can help educate people about Obamacare.

Mary Clark with the organization says the goal is to get the word out to people about what insurance options they have available to them and to answer questions. The volunteers will also direct people to local navigators who have been trained to sign people up for health insurance.

"I think a lot of people are very confused about this, hearing a lot of things on the national level, how hard it is. In New York State, our website has been up and going since October 1st. It's a different website. People can go on the website and really easily navigate," said Clark.

There will be another training session for volunteers next Thursday, December 12th, at 6 p.m. at Citizen Action's headquarters at 477 State St. in Binghamton. You can signup for the session by calling 723-0110.
