BCSD Seeking Input on Budget

The Binghamton School District is looking for input as it puts together next school year's budget.
The Binghamton School District is looking for input as it puts together next school year's budget. Residents can take online surveys and attend a roundtable discussion on the 2014 - 2015 spending plan.

Last year, some people were concerned over the lack of feedback the District got from the public. Superintendent Marion Martinez says the District does value peoples opinions and they will be taken into consideration.

"They'll be able to express their opinion about what they really value in the school system, what they'd like to see sustained and also provide input about what do they think isn't as important as other things, so we can attempt to prioritize," said Martinez.

You can take a budget survey on the District's website, BinghamtonSchools.org. The roundtable discussion for community members will be next Tuesday, December 10th, at 6 p-m in the Binghamton High School cafeteria.
