The Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter is pleased to announce that two new support groups will meet in Broome County this fall. Good Shepherd Fairview Home, 80 Fairview Ave., Binghamton, will host its first meeting on October 9 at 10:30 a.m. The group will then meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the same time and location.
Beginning on November 5, a group will meet in Deposit First Baptist Church’s social room, 139 2nd St., Deposit. The group will meet monthly at 6:30 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the church.
The Alzheimer’s Association has six support groups that meet in the Southern Tier (listed below). Support groups are free and open to caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease. The groups are led by caregivers or former caregivers, who undergo thorough training from Alzheimer’s Association staff.
