A Room to Heal Holiday Luncheon

A Room to Heal hosted its 9th annual holiday luncheon this afternoon.
A Room to Heal hosted its 9th annual holiday luncheon Friday afternoon.

It was a time to celebrate the room makeovers the organization has done this year, the children that have been helped and the volunteers who make it possible. A Room to Heal creates healing environments for children who are battling serious illnesses. This year, volunteers worked on rooms for five kids and in two community centers. Over the past 9 years, about 60 rooms have been over-hauled.

"It's a great time of year to give back to our community. A Room to Heal is an all volunteer organization, so all of our volunteers really commit 100 percent of their time and energy to the kids that we serve. We're looking for volunteers," said Abess.
