VESTAL, N.Y. - As signing season continues, we had a two-for-one signing ceremony at Vestal High School on Thursday afternoon.
Both Cassidy Barrett and Amanda Fedor inked their names to make it official that they will both continue their careers at the collegiate level.
In front of a massive crowd that clogged up the Vestal lobby area, both Cassidy and Amanda were celebrated for signing their National Letters of Intent.
Cassidy, a STAC All-Conference catcher and 5-year Vestal High softball player, signed to continue her career at Le Moyne College in Syracuse.
Amanda, named to the 2017 Under Armor All-Tournament and U.S. Lacrosse National teams, has signed to be a Tar Heel at the University of North Carolina.
UNC is a national powerhouse, winning the 2013 and 2016 National Championships.
Both Cassidy and Amanda talked to us about why they chose the schools they did.
"When I went there, it really just felt like home, and it really just clicked. I love the coach, love the coaching staff, the players are really nice," said Barrett.
"It's definitely always been a dream of mine to compete at the very highest level, and compete for a National Championship. It's just really exciting that my dream is finally coming true," says Fedor.
The girl's each have one more season left with their respective teams at Vestal before they begin the next journey in their athletic careers.
