USA Takes Draw Against Portugal

The United States took on Portugal in group play from the jungle in Brazil.

A win and they go on, but they would have to go through Cristiano Ronaldo and his squad.

And Portugal struck first in the 5th minute. Miguel Veloso sent the ball into the box, hit off Jeff Cameron and right to Nani who scores.

Portugal leads 1-0.

In the 64th minute, Jermaine Jones curled one around the defense and put it past the Portugal goalie. Just an incredible hook shot to tie it up at 1.

In the 81st minute, Michael Bradley passes it off to Graham Zusi who finds Dempsey for the goal! USA leads 2-1.

Critical moment at the end of stoppage time.

Bradley with a costly turnover at midfield. That leads to Ronaldo sending this incredible cross to Varela in the box who fires a header past Howard for a goal!

USA and Portugal draw, 2-2.

USA faces Germany on Thursday.
