Our high school football preview tour continues with the Union-Endicott Tigers who fell just one game short of their goal last season.

For the second year in a row, the Tigers made an appearance in the state semi-finals only to suffer the same fate, losing the final game of the season.

After graduating a lot of players at key positions, the Tigers may have a different look to them but their mindset and determination remain the same.

"Be relentless, relentless in the effort that you give, so no matter what the X's and O's are, no matter what the game plan is, no matter what type of athlete you are going against or the type of athlete you are, effort can overcome many obstacles," said head coach Tom Baleno.

The Tigers will get a test right away in the regular season as they host three time defending state champion Maine-Endwell in week one.
