Tigers Defeat Yankees, 4-3

The Yankees beat Max Scherzer 2-1 in game one of their series with Detroit. Next up, they face the second of three straight Cy Young winners, David Price, as he makes his debut with the Tigers.

Bottom 2, Yankees down 1-0, Brian McCann rips a solo shot to right and we are tied at one.

Next inning, Jacoby Ellsbury lines a double the other way to left, Brendan Ryan scores, Yankees lead 2-1.

To the 5th, Martin Prado homers to left and it's 3-1 Yankees.

Top 6, Andrew Romine blasts one to right and the lead is cut to one.

The Tigers tie it in the 7th and the game would go to extra innings.

The Tigers go on to win 4-3.
