The Sabers finished 3-6 on the season last year, due in part to an inexperienced roster which resulted in several close losses, including an overtime loss against Norwich.
The team only lost two seniors and the returning players have had a season to grow.
The team looks to put up a lot of points in an up-tempo offense, utilizing their speed at several key positions.
"We have an awful lot of speed everywhere on the field. We play team football. Our motto is hustle, hit, never quit, so we have been working on that at practice, making sure we are hustling between drills and everything we do, being aggressive on the field and obviously never quitting until the final buzzer," said head coach Mike Ford says.
"We got quite a few kids that are pretty fast so I think we are going to be jogging back and forth pretty quick and speeding the game up to try and tire out the defense," said linebacker/guard Teddy Storti.
Susquehanna Valley opens their season at home against Elmira on Saturday, September 6.
