NYS high school basketball rankings released

BINGHAMTON - As the New York state high school basketball tournament continues, tonight we take a look at the latest released rankings for both the girl's and boy's.

First for the girl's of Section IV.

In Class AA, only Elmira remains in the rankings.

They sit at #3.

In the Class AA Regionals, they'll be taking on the team right behind them at #4, Ossining.
In Class A, Seton Catholic Central staying at #6.

They'll have #11 Saugerties in the Regional round Friday.

To Class B, and Susquehanna Valley remains #2.

They'll face number four Bishop Ludden on Sunday at the Floyd L. Maines Arena.

Bainbridge-Guilford continues to sit atop the Class C rankings.

They'll begin tournament play on Saturday against number five Syracuse Academy of Science.

Lastly, in Class D, we have #2 Delhi.

They will also play their first game on Saturday, taking on #8 Eldred.

Now for the boys.

Straight to Class B, Seton Catholic Central sitting in at #5.

Their next opponent is none other than the defending state champions, #9 Westhill.

That one is Sunday at 3:00 pm at the arena.

Joining Seton is Owego at #26.

Owego fell to Seton in the section championship last week.

In Class C, Unadilla Valley is #19.

They'll begin state tournament action on Saturday, facing #11 Tully.

Then, in Class D, Newfield up to #4.

The Trojans are coming off a win over King on Tuesday.

Next up, an unranked Bridgehamton team who upset #20 Livingston Manor on Monday.

Also ranked from Section IV in Class D, South Kortright is 18th.

They fell to Newfield in the sectional finals.
