Miller Out for the Season After Shoulder Injury

- Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is out for the season after sustaining another injury to his right shoulder while throwing a short pass in Monday's practice.

Widely regarded as a Heisman Trophy contender, Miller suffered the injury during a non-contact portion of practice, just a few hours after the senior said he felt 100 percent following offseason surgery.

Miller threw for 2,094 yards and 24 touchdowns and ran for 12 more while leading the Buckeyes to the Discover Orange Bowl last season.

Redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett is expected to be the starter in the Buckeyes' season opener Aug. 30 against Navy in Baltimore.
