Day one of Jets training camp began at SUNY Cortland. Hundreds of fans lined the field to get their first look at this year's squad.

While excitement and hope filled the air as fans look forward to what the season may bring, many questions lingered as well.

Can Geno Smith win the starting job and play well enough this season to keep it, or will veteran Michael Vick get the nod? Can an inexperienced secondary, full of new names, hold up? And will new additions Eric Decker and Chris Johnson provide a spark to an offense that struggled last year?

Day one looked as expected, a fair amount of rust with some nice plays sprinkled in.

Head Coach Rex Ryan likes what he sees so far.

"We are so much further along than I can remember any time this time of year. We are further along with this team than I have been with any other team," said Ryan.

Training camp continues tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m.
