BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Both the Binghamton University basketball teams begin their seasons this coming Friday night.
The women's team is at Army, while the men open up at home against Morgan State.
On Wednesday, both head coaches spoke to the media about the upcoming games.
Men's coach Tommy Dempsey says despite a rough season a year ago, pressure isn't what he and the team are feeling right now.
"Given the choice, would you rather be 1-0 or 0-1? You'd certainly would rather be 1-0. You certainly would rather start by winning your home opener. But, no I don't feel pressured to do that, I just feel excitement to play," said Dempsey.
As for women's head coach Linda Cimino, she says her team is ready to hit the court.
"It's go time. We've got one more practice before we start the season. I think we're playing really well right now, we're competing. And I think our kids are ready to go," said Cimino.
The men's team will look to win it's opener for the second-straight year.
As for the women's team, they're seeking their first opening night win since the 2012-13 season.
