B-Mets Split in Doubleheader

The B-Mets looked to continue their winning ways as fans got double the action at NYSEG Stadium.

Game one of the doubleheader, Brian Burgamy lines one to the wall in right center and he's in with a stand up double.

Next batter up, Jace Boyd singles to center, Burgamy scores, 1-0 B-Mets.

Top of the 2nd, Tony Thomas absolutely crushes one over the left field wall and the Rock Cats lead 3-1.

Bottom of the inning, B-Mets threatening with runners on the corners but Nimmo grounds out to short.

B-Mets go on to lose game one, 5-1.

To game two, first inning, Lance Ray doubles over the center field wall, Levi Michael rounds for home and gets there but is called back to third.

But then Robles throws a wild pitch and Michael comes in to score anyways, Rock Cats lead 1-0.

Top of the 3rd, Robles gets Jorge Polanco swinging, he strikes out the side which didn't impact the game much but meant a lot to the lucky fan who took home the $155 jackpot courtesy of Little Venice.

To the 4th, Paul Sewald comes in with the bases loaded and gets a big strikeout to get out of the jam.

Bottom of the inning, it's the B-Mets turn with the bases loaded, Boyd grounds into a double play but it's good enough to score a run and tie the game.

B-Mets go on to win game two 3-2 and earn a split in the doubleheader.
