Jones came through in the clutch down the stretch as he drained a long birdie putt on the 72nd hole to force the playoff before chipping in from the right rough for birdie on the first extra hole. He then watched as Kuchar's shot from out of the sand missed, giving the title to Jones.
Cristie Kerr rallied to win by two shots at the Kia Classic on Sunday and that victory pushed Kerr up nine spots to No. 10 in the world rankings.
Jimmy Walker cruised to a 4-shot victory over Jordan Spieth at the Valero Texas Open on Sunday and that saw Walker break into the top-10 and up to No. 10 in the world rankings.
Tommy Cocha closed with a 3-under 69 on Sunday and he hung on to win the Mazatlan Open.
Sue Kim closed with a 2-under 70 to win the Florida's Natural Charity Classic by three strokes.
