The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a $770 million business led by girls. To bring awareness to the cookie program and the skills girls learn by participating in the cookie program, Girl Scouts of the USA has declared February 7 and 8 National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend.
By participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program girls learn five essential skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. These are skills that the girls will carry through Girl Scouts and into their adult lives.
Locally girls will be participating in walkabouts during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. This means girls will be out taking cookie orders from customers in their communities. All money earned through the cookie program stays local to benefit the many activities and community service projects that the girls participate in.
Join in to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend by supporting local girls and ordering cookies! For more details on the Girl Scout Cookie Program or to find cookies near you, visit www.girlscoutcookies.org or download the free app for iPhone and Android users from the app store.
