The diverse and joyful rhythms and sounds of Spain and Latin America will be brought to life by tenor Steven Nanni and pianist Pej Reitz on Saturday, February 8 at 7:30 pm in the Kilmer Mansion at Temple Concord, 9 Riverside Drive in Binghamton. The renowned performers will take a musical journey through the rich traditions of past and present composers, including works by Ginastera, Obradors, Turina, De Falla and Zarzuela Arias. The SONGS OF SPAIN AND LATIN AMERICA is the third in a series of concerts “Around the World, Music in the Kilmer Mansion.”
Steven Nanni is a world class bel canto tenor who has performed throughout New York, including Carnegie Hall, at the Kennedy Center in Washington and with many orchestras such as Florida State, Tuscan Chamber Orchestra (Florence, Italy), New England Philharmonic, Binghamton Philharmonic and the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra. He has been heard in concerts and recitals in theaters and historic venues throughout New England.
Pej Reitz, on the faculties of Binghamton University and Ithaca College, has performed in Japan, England, South America, Spain, Austria and throughout the United States. She was a winner of the Artistic Ambassadors Program by the United States Information Agency in partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
