Ye Olde Coque and Feather Taphouse joins Binghamton Restaurant Week

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The 15th edition of Binghamton Restaurant Week features a new eatery on the city's Northside.

Ye Olde Coque and Feather Taphouse opened last October and is participating in its first Restaurant Week.

The Taphouse on Eldredge Street bills itself as an upscale bar with a dance floor and unique food options.

It's offering a 3 course lunch for $12 and a 3 course dinner for $20.

Owner Bob Pornbeck says the promotion gives people the chance to try some of his specialty items for the first time.

"We have prime rib bites. They're pieces of prime rib wrapped in bacon. They're absolutely phenomenal, they're fantastic.  And we also have a banana chimichanga," said Bob Pornbeck.

Pornbeck says the menu will likely receive a major overhaul when a new Executive Chef begins next month.

The Taphouse is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday and until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
