A little before 2 o'clock this afternoon, a woman either jumped or fell from the 201 bridge onto the icy Susquehanna River.

Emergency crews, including the Johnson City and Vestal Fire departments, police agencies and paramedics sprang to action. An air boat crew launched from the Boland Drive launch area and glided its way across the ice and took the woman to the shore on the Vestal side of the river. She had fallen on the ice and was unconscious.

No word on her condition tonight.
