A Southside Binghamton eatery is getting a jump on Saint Patrick's Day festivities this weekend.

The Whole in the Wall on South Washington Street will host its annual Saint Patty's Day celebration on Saturday. The restaurant will feature a special menu including traditional Irish soda bread, beef stew and, for dessert, a Guinness stout chocolate cake or Bailey's Irish Cream cheesecake. And as is tradition, there will be celtic music performed by Curt Osgood and friends.
Stacey Gould says, "Curt Osgood plays here once a month. He plays a hammered dulcimer and does all sorts of Irish Celtic music and it's just fantastic and a lot of fun. He will be here from noon to three o'clock and we'll be serving all of the traditional Irish fare but also our regular menu will be available as well."

The Whole In the Wall has hosted this celebration for over 15 years. It's open Saturday from 11 to 10. Saturday is also the Jewish holiday of Purim and, in honor, Senior Partner Eliot Fiks has made his special version of Hamentaschen, made with whole-wheat flour and quadruple the normal amount of filling.
