Greek Peak is inviting folks to check out the natural beauty of its mountain views from on high.

The Cortland County ski resort is opening one of its chair lifts for the summer for the first time.

The new Visions Quad Lift has a loading carpet that makes uphill and downhill traffic possible.

The trip takes 22 minutes each way, although riders can get off at the top to look around and then either get back on or hike down the mountain.

Director of Sales and Marketing Kathleen Timmerman says there's more to do at Greek in the Summertime than people think.

"Trax is open every Friday and Saturday night with specials. We have an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, 50 cent wings Friday and Saturday night. And along with that, they open the chair lift for $10 a ride," said Timmerman.

Seniors and kids ages 6 to 12 are $8. Children under 6 are free.

The lift rides are available Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
