Their annual festival is still a few weeks away, but volunteers at Saint Cyril's Church on Clinton St. in Binghamton are already busy wrapping and rolling halupki.

9,000 of the traditional Slovak dish have been prepared.

In addition to ethnic food, the day-long event includes a chicken barbeque, a bake sale, raffle and adult and children's games.

Lorry Kessler grew up at Saint Cyril's and looks forward to the festival each year.

"The people get around and people who have not been in the area come to it and enjoy seeing the people that they haven't seen for years. It's a nice get together," said Kessler.

Saint Cyril's Festival takes place on Sunday July 27th from 11:30 to 6:30.

There will also be live music, a deejay and the Moravian Club Children's Dancers performing at 1:30.
