For the 16th consecutive year, hanging flower baskets are marking the long-awaited return of summer to downtown Binghamton.

The city has once again teamed up with Security Mutual to add the bloom to downtown streets.

The company donated about 150 baskets of red ivy geraniums.

The flowers line Court Street adding a burst of color.

Security Mutual President and CEO Bruce Boyea says Binghamton has been a great place for his company to do business and for his employees to live.

"This company is proud. We have 330 employees. We have 4 thousand plus field representatives that are out representing us each and every day. And I have to tell you, we're extremely proud to call Binghamton New York our home officem" said Boyea.

Boyea says he appreciates the work city employees do to keep the flowers watered and healthy throughout the summer months.
