Samaritan Counseling Center holds ribbon cutting at new location

ENDWELL, N.Y. - A 34 year-old provider of psychological services in our area is celebrating its new home.

Samaritan Counseling Center cut the ribbon at 3001 East Main Street in Endwell Thursday.

It moved down the street from Endicott last September.

Samaritan offers holistic, spiritually-sensitive counseling for children and adults, couples and families.

It appeals to, but is not limited to, people seeking faith-based services.

Executive Director Marian Towers says Samaritan has 10 counselors, each with their own approach and specialty.

"We have the best group of people here. They're just wonderful people to work with. And the feedback that we get from our clients tells us what a wonderful job they do. In fact, on display throughout the building today are some of the comments from our clients that say what a good job we do and how we've helped them. I'm very proud of them," said Towers.

Towers says the new building is much larger which means counselors no longer need to share offices.

She says the client base is expanding with over 6,000 sessions per year.

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and the center's founder, Doug Beattie, were also on hand to mark the occasion.
