Rec Park in Binghamton will be filled with live music this weekend.

This Sunday is the 19th annual Rec Park Music Festival.

The free event features bands from our region along with food vendors and kids activities.

Returning is the host bad, The Rhythm Gypsies, who have played at every Rec Park Music Festival to date.

Headlining the show will be the Ithaca-area band Horse Flies.

There will also be country, folk, island music and bluegrass.

"It's very laid back. People usually bring a blanket, a frisbee or a football to throw around, kids play in the playground, you listen to music all day, and you see your neighbors and other community people that you don't see often. It's very relaxing. 19 years and people come and expect to have a nice relaxing afternoon with lots of good music," said Jim Reyen, Organizer of the Rec Park Music Festival.

The music runs from 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. this Sunday. For more info, visit the the festival's Facebook page.
