BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Broome County Urban League is raising money by welcoming two Grammy Nominated R&B artists for a show at the Floyd Maines Arena.
The trio Sisters with Voices, better known by SWV, along with Grammy Award winner Naughty By Nature will be performing a show at the Arena this Friday.
Proceeds from the event will fund after school programs and services at the Urban League.
Tickets range from $25 to $75 and there are also VIP packages that feature an after party at Spotlight.
The show is being organized by the Urban League and WJOB 93.3 FM.
"We wanted to do something different and out-of-the-box to not only give back to the community, but raise money for the Urban League," said Urban League Executive Director Jen Lesko.
WJOB Director of Operations and General Manager Damien Cornwell said, "Sometimes, fundraising stuff can be a little drab and a little stale. This is something that people would do regardless of the fundraiser. How cool is it that we can do this, do good for the community and have a great time doing it?"
The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show is also featuring local artist Chris "GQ" Perry.
Tickets can be purchased at the Urban League, Spotlight, and on Ticketmaster.
