It will feature three performances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, with one jump Friday night, and two on Saturday. David Echeverry, a Sergeant and Demonstration Parachutist with the Golden Knights, has been on the team for four years, and is in the middle of his third year on the show circuit. He tells us what to expect Friday night.
"We will be jumping at 9:45 and we will be exiting the aircraft, weather permitting, at 12,500 feet, with pyrotechnics strapped to our feet, so essentially, it's going to look like one huge sparkler." says Echeverry.
The Air Show takes place at the Greater Binghamton Airport. Gates open Friday night at 6:00 pm with the performance at 9:30 pm. On Saturday, gates open at 10:00 am with shows at 12:35 pm and 3 pm.
