A popular shopping spot is popping up in downtown Binghamton again over the next three days.

The Pop Up Marketplace is returning to Atomic Tom's at 196 State Street in downtown Binghamton.

It brings together 12 different vendors selling vintage clothing, antiques, intimate wear, estate and artisan jewelry, handbags and more.

The first, held last December, was a big success.

"People really enjoyed it. We had people that came in to shop but then hung around all night. They tried things on, they sat and had a glass of wine, some food. We had a great time," said organizer Sherrie Rinker.

The Marketplace will be open Thursday and First Friday from 5 to 9 and Saturday from 10 to 2.

There will also be a special Project Glamour competition Thursday night.

Three or four local stylists will use models to create their own interpretations of iconic Hollywood glamour along the lines of Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn.

The competition for special prizes begins at 7 p.m. and will be decided by public vote.
