Police Week shifts to the Oakdale Mall for the next two days.

Numerous law enforcement agencies have set up shop there. There are patrol vehicles, displays of weapons and seizures and demonstrations. There is also a display dedicated to fallen Johnson City police officer David Smith, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 31st. People can stop by center court and find out information about how to contribute to a memorial fund to benefit his family and create a permanent site to honor him. Lieutenant Tim Hill with the Broome County Sheriff's Office corrections division explains his hope when people stop by the displays.

Lt. Tim Hill says, "Basically an understanding of what we're all about, that we're here and we're human beings and that we have a job to do."

You can also find out information about the memorial fund for Officer David Smith at Gander Mountain on Harry L Drive in Johnson City all day Saturday. It's the store's grand re-opening.
