The Broome County Sheriff's Office is looking for the woman who stole bank deposit bags filled with cash from a local convenience store.

The female suspect allegedly distracted the clerk by claiming that a spill needed cleaning. When he went for a towel, police say she grabbed several bank bags from behind the counter and fled.

The Sheriff's Office says the theft occurred last Friday at 2:30 a.m.

She's described as a white female with black hair, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 250 pounds and in her 30s or 40s. The suspect was wearing a white head band, black coat and pants.

Police say her first name is possibly Stacy.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the Patrol Division at 778-1185.
