Police: Endicott man struck, injured three children

ENDICOTT, N.Y. - Police have arrested an Endicott man after they say he struck and caused injury to three children.

Richard Sherwood, 32, was arrested by Endicott Police on Wednesday after an investigation into an incident that took place on March 8th in the Village of Endicott.

Police say during the incident, Sherwood intentionally caused physical injuries to 3 children, ages 5-7, by striking them.

They say the children received injuries and bruises to their backs and buttocks areas.

Sherwood has been charged with:

  • Two Counts of Assault in the 2nd Degree a Class D Felony
  • One Count of Assault in the 3rd Degree a Class A Misdemeanor

He was arraigned in the Village of Endicott Court and taken to the Broome County Jail without bail.
