The Owego Police Benevolent Association has purchased a set of stop sticks to further ensure the safety of local residents.

The tire deflation devices will be used by the Owego Police Department to prevent police pursuits from going through the Village.

The police union has also purchased several other safety items, including plexiglass window barriers and gun mounts for patrol vehicles and TV and DVD recorders for interviews.
