Maine-Endwell Little League Champions to be featured in ESPN Films "World Beaters"

ENDWELL, N.Y. - Even though the victory happened almost a year ago, the story of the Maine-Endwell Little League team's World Series win remains "legendary."

And thanks to ESPN FIlms, the team will once again be featured on the national stage.

"ESPN Films Presents: World Beaters", an upcoming program that will air on ABC, will feature the story of the team's victory.

A program description from ABC reads:

"In 2016, the Maine-Endwell (the team from the smallest town, by far, to ever become World Champions) won the Little League World Series. Their victory reflects the best of the history of the Little League World Series. This film weaves their march to the title with the great moments of the Little League World Series from the past."

The hour-long program is scheduled to air on WIVT NewsChannel 34 on Sunday, August 20th, at noon.

This isn't the first time a Maine-Endwell team has been featured in an ESPN production - an episode of 30 for 30 featured the story of the school's football team's 62-game streak back in 2015.
