BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Two popular radio personalities are reuniting to bring their magic back to the airwaves.
Louie G has signed on with Magic 101.7 and will be reuniting with Tanya for an afternoon drive show.
They made the announcement Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. live on-air.
Louie G reached out to the locally owned and operated radio top 40 format station about getting back into radio.
He's has been working on the radio for 24 years and spent 10 years as a morning show host at Wild 104.
They say it's good to be back together.
"It's like we never were apart. We're tight and we're happy to be back. This is going to be a lot of fun. We're going to do a lot of great things for the community. The community has always been supportive of us and it's good to be back and to be part of it again," said Louie G.
Tanya says, "It's really exciting. A lot of people in the public asked us to get back together. It was a request that I had anytime I left my house. We listened to you guys and we're back together again."
Magic is instituting a new line-up that includes a morning show with Dana Potter and Lisa Cruz from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by Magic Midday with Rich Birdsall from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Louie G and Tanya from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
