Lost Dog Café is preparing to celebrate Fat Tuesday in style. Tomorrow evening will be the Binghamton restaurant's 20th Mardi Gras extravaganza.

The celebration starts at 4 p.m. in the Lost Dog Lounge with music by Ragtime Ric Pedro. Then the party moves into the restaurant where the Basin Street Jazz Band will be playing music through the night. There will be plenty of free beads, hats and masks, plus special E-L Downey hand-crafted masks are on display.

Lost Dog is featuring a Cajun and Creole-themed menu including Sriracha Chicken Wings, and Drunken Shrimp. There will also be Mardi Gras drink specials and, of course, a King Cake, where, if you find the baby figurine in your slice, you get a crown and the meal is on the house.

"It's Fat Tuesday! It's a party, it's a celebration, it's a diverse group of people. There's older people that come in, there's young people that come in, there's little kids that come in with their families," said manager Nicole Howard.

There will also be a magician and balloon artist and face painting. The restaurant will be closed between 3 and 5 tomorrow to get ready for the party which runs until 1 a.m.
