More than a thousand ambitious college students today checked out their options for summer internships or jobs after graduation.

The Center for Career and Professional Development held its Spring Job and Internship Fair at Binghamton University. BU invited over 60 employers to attend.

Weeks ago, center officials started helping students prepare for the opportunity to meet with businesses and organizations.

Associate director Bill McCarthy says employers say they're very pleased with the caliber of B.U. students.

"The employers are happy with the students they see here," said McCarthy. "They're well dressed, well prepared, and you know they have a good education behind them and they make good employees. We already have students that already have jobs with some these companies and they're coming back to hire more."

Binghamton University works hard to place their graduates with jobs by creating opportunities for students to speak with company representatives.

Tomorrow after the fair, many students have scheduled interviews held on campus and will know in the near future any job offers they may receive.
