BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - While the snow continues to melt, local homeowners can get a head start on their home improvement ideas this weekend.
The 32nd annual Home and Garden show takes place this weekend at the B.U. Events Center, sponsored by the Southern Tier Homebuilders and Remodelers Association.
Over 160 booths from various local companies and contractors will have their services on display including roofing, siding, kitchens, windows, outdoor gardening items and decor.
Homebuilders and Remodelers President Tony Cauiola says the one-stop home improvement shop is convenient for attendees.
"If you're looking for a simple repair project or a full-scale remodel, you can find it all under one roof. You can wander around, stay dry and get out of that inclement weather we've had. Even though it's springtime, it's rainy and cold," he said.
In addition, a number of financial institutions and lenders will discuss methods of paying off the work.
Attendees will also receive a free booklet on the participating venders.
Admission is $5 for adults and kids get in for free.
It takes place tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
