Heroin Overdose Saved by Sheriff's Narcan

- Sheriff's Deputies have saved another life using a heroin antidote they now carry.

Last Wednesday, a deputy responded to a report of a 25-year-old man who had overdosed on heroin at a home on Oakdale Road in the Town of Union.

The officer found the man blue in the face and gasping for air and used the nasal spray Naloxone to revive him.

This is the second time in the last two months that officers have used Naloxone to counteract a heroin overdose.
