Hanna Responds to Criticism From Tenney

- Congressman Richard Hanna is responding to criticism from his Republican primary challenger.

Last week, New York State Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney visited our area and claimed that Hanna doesn't represent many Tea Party and conservative values.

Hanna says he's willing to put his record up against anyone's and is willing to work with politicians on both sides of the proverbial aisle in order to get things accomplished. He also says he is fiscally conservative and has written more than 500 explanations of how he has voted on bills in the House of Representatives.

Hanna claims Tenney is running for Congress to try to get a bigger paycheck and says most of the things coming from her camp about him are untrue.

"I came from 35 years in construction and we run a solid, solid office, anyone who works with us will tell you. There's every reason to send us back for two more years. I can't think of a single reason not to, especially to be replaced by someone who is fully a career bureaucrat," said Hanna.

Hanna has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association and is opposed to the SAFE Act.

Primary day for the Congressional primary race is June 24th.
