Apalachin (WIVT) - Jim "Mudcat" Grant and some of his buddies are back in town, preparing for tomorrow's All-Star Golf Tournament.

The tournament, sponsored each year by Security Mutual Life Insurance, starts at 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the Links at Hiawatha Landing.

Money raised supports the Urban League, the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton, Catholic Charities, CHOW and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Former Major League Pitcher "Mudcat" Grant helps to assemble the celebrities who participate.

"We're anxious to get out on the golf course. We're anxious also to greet our fans. And we're anxious to get on with it to raise some money for the 5 charities that we have here," said Grant.

Mudcat and some of his friends met children at the Boys and Girls Club, as well as visiting two area hospitals, Wednesday afternoon.
