The company, which is located on Court Street in downtown Binghamton, will appear in the Brew Central print ad campaign, which will be in some of the country's premier beer magazines, including Beer Advocate, Beer Connoisseur and All About Beer.
Recently, ABC Creative Group, based in Syracuse, was at Galaxy capturing images and interviews for the upcoming publication.
The goal of the effort is to promote the stories, traditions and tastes of craft beer and other beverages in central New York.
Galaxy owners, Mike and Seth Weisel said their brewery and restaurant strives to offer customers unique options every visit.
"Other than those few standard ones, we always want to keep it fresh, keep it different. Sometimes what that means is using local hops and other local ingredients, local malt. Sometimes that means, in this beer here, I used hops from Australia,"said Galaxy owner Seth Weisel.
"You come here, the food that you get will be cooked by a CIA trained chef. Many of the dishes have our beers in them as ingredients," said Galaxy owner Mike Weisel.
The Greater Binghamton Convention and Visitors Bureau said the national attention is exciting and is optimistic it will help attract visitors to the area.
The bureau says the region is a craft brewery destination.
"The numbers of visitors that are coming to the area are definitely strong and with ABC Creative as our ad agency, we've been able to get a lot of travel writers into our area as well. We're getting coverage in the Philadelphia markets and Baltimore," said Judi Hess, manager of tourism and special events for the GB Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Galaxy, at 41 Court Street, is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Noon until 11 p.m., Thursday through Saturday Noon to 1 a.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Galaxy Brewery is closed on Mondays.
